Title:   Black Figure Skyphos Fragment

Description:   Part of a band cup, the lip preserved almost to the edge. Below the figured band, a reserved stripe. To the right, in front of Dionysos, who sits on a diphros, are the legs and long tail of a satyr, dancing right. Vines in the field. Bright purple retouches for Dionysos's wreath, beard and drapery, and for the satyr's tail.
Brownish wash on the reserved parts; the glaze rather thin; on the outside fired a dirty gray. There may have been dots of added white on Dionysos' garment.
