Vessel clearly broken during manufacture on wheel. Disk base, pushed up on underside; lower wall rising steeply. Irregularly applied paint over part of lower wall and on underside. Paint fired reddish purple. Clay body and reserved surfaces evenly fired close to pink 5YR 7/3. Agora Sample no. 882. | |
