Title:   Potter's Test Piece

Description:   Two joining fragments preserving portion of test piece, including about one-quarter of draw hole. Piece cut from body of large closed vessel (exact orientation uncertain). Paint on interior and exterior thickly applied, much worn and with a tendency to flake; fired red. Exterior reserved; broad sweep of paint on interior.
Clay body and reserved surfaces evenly fired close to reddish yellow and pink 7.5YR 7/6-7/4.
Fragment probably cut from same original vessel as P 32374 and P 32376.
