Title:   Black Figure Amphora Fragment

Description:   From the wall of a large closed vase. Part of two friezes preserved, separated by a double horizontal line. On the upper frieze, the feet and lower skirts of two draped figures right; the figure to the right, female (remains of white on the feet). White also for dots on the garments of both figures and a red stripe a on the woman's. In the lower frieze, the back part of a lion or panther, right. White belly stripe.
Rather coarse pinkish buff clay, unglazed on the inside. Orange wash on the outside.
Context:   Green Greek fill over stereo.
