Title:   Skyphos

Description:   Mended from many fragments; complete except for part of rim and gaps in body. Black paint unevenly worn, with only traces on one side, revealing clearly the beige slip on reserved area. Fairly deep, globular shape, with slightly everted, tall vertical lip; ring foot. Exterior decoration: three broad stripes on rim wall; shoulder panels between handles, of broad hatched maeander framed by four vertical lines, with rosettes in upper angle between panel and handle zone; lower wall, foot and resting surface painted solid, as are horizontal handles. Reserved: inside of handles, handle panels and underside of foot. Interior painted solid except for reserved band on inner lip and large dot at bottom of center.
Buff fabric, with black glaze.
