Title:   Red Figure Bell Krater Fragment

Description:   Red glazed inside, with a narrow reserved band near the top. Outside, a woman right, with her right arm raised. Behind her, the hand of another figure carrying a large tympanum. Above, a reserve band.
No relief contours. White for the woman's flesh, for her hair bands and ornaments, and for the tympanum. Dilute glaze (orange) for the woman's bracelets, and for the border and ornament of the tympanum. The woman's features, painted over the white, have disappeared.
Indifferent glaze; much of the background fired red.
Context:   Well, early Roman.
