Description: | Single fragment preserving body of lekythos; missing neck, handle and foot. Sloping shoulder. Cylindrical body tapering to foot. Tongues and rays on shoulder. Thin uneven double line at top of body does not go round. Goddess mounting chariot. Apollo to right with lyre. Hermes in front to right, looking left. No incision. Thick black glaze baseline. Βottom of wall glazed. Fine orange clay; black glaze mottled red in places. Class of Athens 581.ii | |
