Description: | Single floor sherd. Flat floor, with tondo bearing palm branch stamps within a "triple-groove" surround. Parts of one radial stamp, cf. Hayes (1972), L.R.P. type 4, and two flanking crescent-shaped branches, type 74, in opposite directions, are preserved. Smooth brick-red ware with polished slip on top; lower surface plain. Some pock-marks and slight marks from use on upper surface. Early 5th century dish, as Hayes (1972) L.R.P. form 62B. Same ware and layout as P 7934 African red slip ware. | |
