Title:   Spouted Cooking Pot

Description:   Mended from many fragments. Large gaps in the lower wall, few gaps in belly. Central part of the handle missing. Discoloration and yellow iron stain on exterior surface.
Everted rim pinched on exterior lip. Single vertical handle across opening decorated with pronounced deep gouges. Short spout at front of handle, projecting upward. Solid pinched lug on shoulder at opposite side of handle.
Shoulder demarked from belly by two offsets, the upper just under the spout with deep groove and a series of oblique gouges, the lower with a series of slightly larger gouges. Rounded body. Wavy line incised on shoulder and mid-belly.
Flat resting surface, concave underside. Micaceous dark red fabric with white inclusions. Dark slip fired dark brown to black.
Compare with Agora V, M 300 (P 13434) but not exact parallel in the Agora.

Possibly imitation of metal ware (J. Vroom and J. Carvajal Lopez).
