Title:   Black Glaze Kantharos: West Slope and Ribbed

Description:   Handles and part of mouth are missing; lip restored in plaster. Heavy foot with short stem; reeded bowl; high, gently convex upper wall; the lip slightly thickened. On either side of the upper wall, between the handles, a head of grain set between two wreaths. The foot was not covered with miltos, although the glaze was scratched away from lines at junction of stem and bowl, and around the middle of the foot and from the underside of the foot. Concave underside with nipple.
Buff clay, metallic glaze.
Context:   Cave, south chamber, lower fill, upper red layer.
