Title:   Bowl or Cup Fragment with Applied Decoration

Description:   Fragment from wall of a large bowl or cup of thin fabric with two pairs of horizontal grooves, widely spaced on the outside. Over the grooves, in applied relief: the figure of an Eros facing one-half right. His lower legs and part of his wing are missing.
Fine brown clay, lustrous red glaze inside and out. Western Sigillata.
Context:   Below top of Palaistra wall. Disturbed late Roman fill.
