Description:   Intact. Flat-bottomed pitcher with rounded lower body and high, slightly concave upper body; one vertical strap handle with a strut, lip to shoulder of lower body. Bottom of lower body black; on shoulder, between black bands (3 above, 4 below), wave pattern. On upper body, three metopes: two long-legged, long-necked water birds facing and in center an 8-petalled rosette, the petals hatched; dot rosettes in field. Outside lip, between three black bands above and three below, a row of dots. Inside lip, three black bands, below, unglazed. Horizontal bands on handles and St. Andrew's cross.
Buff slip; brownish-black glaze much peeled in one side.
