Title:   Black Glaze Kantharos

Description:   One handle, part of the other and much of the wall missing. Restored in plaster. High base ring; upper wall sharply setoff from lower. Band handles, spurred. Reserved bands around bottom of base ring and on underside.
Glaze somewhat flaked and blotchy.
For the shape cf. Athens N.M. 1236 (the handles slightly lower). A. Two Amazons; B. Amazons and Greek - two good examples in Polyandrion of the Thespians; same shape exactly.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Μελαμβαφής κάνθαρος, με υψηλές ταινιόσχημες λαβές. Λείπουν θραύσματα από το σώμα και τις λαβές του αγγείου.
