Description:   The body intact; the lid mended from two pieces, about a third and the handle missing.
a) Round pyxis with low ring foot, convex side wall, and flange inside rim to receive lid; flange and lid pierced for tying. On body: black band above foot, two narrow bands, zigzag between bands, two narrow bands, hatched maeander running left, two narrow bands, zigzag, three narrow bands. Bottom: flower with four herringbone leaves, many-pointed stars between the leaves.
b) Lid: round, nearly flat lid. Three narrow bands around edge, then row of dots, three narrow bands, row of dots, three narrow bands, wide band, two narrow bands; wide band at base of handle.
Slipped; dull black glaze.
