Title:   Hydria

Description:   Ring foot, ovoid body, rather narrow slightly concave neck and heavily rounded flaring lip. One vertical strap handle, shoulder to lip; two horizontal uptilted loop handles on body. Body decorated with narrow bands in series of two and three; wide band at shoulder. Neck glazed black. Below base of neck, series of diagonal fringes and an arrow pointing downward at the center. On vertical handle, framed, a St. Andrew's cross.
Attic clay with creamy slip; dull black glaze much peeled.
Context:   Grave 15. With infant bones inside.
