Title:   Red Figure Lekythos Fragments

Description:   Closed pot fragments (squat lekythos), unglazed inside, save for a single trace of thick black along the upper edge of the largest fragment.
a) Mended from two pieces. On shoulder, tongue pattern; below, upper part of a head in a conical, cap-like helmet, right.
b) Back leg of a chair, and drapery hanging down from seat.
c) The tip of a scepter or a wand, ending in a lotus.
Fairly thin fabric; good rather metallic glaze.
d) Two joining fragments from tins give a good deal of the base and part of the lower walls with tiny part of the maeander. Scraped groove at the join of body and foot. Ring foot with grooved vertical side. Groove, side of foot and underside covered with miltos wash.
