ΤΙΤΛΟΣ:   Κάνθαρος 725 π.Χ. περίπου

Description:   Intact; oval, not round, at the lip 0.132m.
Low ring base, swelling body with very slightly flaring lip, and two high looped vertical strap handles, lip to shoulder. The lower body glazed solid; from lip to top of glaze band, widely spaced vertical strokes, with fine bands of thin glaze between, giving the effect of flower petals. On handle, framed St. Andrew's crosses; interior glazed black, save for reserved spot at center of floor.
Buff clay, creamy buff slip; thick, rather dull and somewhat streaky black glaze.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Γεωμετρικός κάνθαρος, με σφαιρικό σώμα, δακτυλιόσχημη βάση και δύο υψηλές τοξωτές, κάθετες λαβές. Φέρει κάθετες διακοσμητικές ταινίες.
