Description: | Fragment from rim of a deep, steep-walled bowl. Male head to right, with long hair and beard, ivy wreath on head, embroidered cloak on shoulder. In field to left, indeterminte objects, around top of wall, a black line. Note that neck reserved. Red for ivy leaves and embroidery on cloak; careful incision for details. ADDENDA Payne suggests a large skyphos and thinks the figure perhaps female. The lines to the left belong to a large eye. | |
