Title:   Kantharos: West Slope

Description:   Restored in plaster. Similar in shape to P 6302, but smaller, with the upper part of the body more contracted. Moulded ring foot; the thumb-rests bearded masks. Handle zone front and back defined by incised lines; between, above thin clay paint, blobs linked by wavy white lines, below leafy tendril in thin clay paint.
Rather dull black glaze.
ADDENDA P 6302: Ring foot. The body squat; rounded below, above straight and sloping in slightly toward the top.
Context:   Cistern. Lower, Hellenistic fill.
