Title:   Jug with Gouged Decoration and Graffito

Description:   Mended from several fragments; about half of neck missing. Small jug; oval body tapering to small foot and neck; triple-ridged handle from slightly flaring neck to shoulder. Upper part of body heavily grooved horizontally and diagonally.
Scratched on neck, next to break: <graphic>
Buff to pinkish-gray clay. Upper part of body and inside of the neck just below the rim covered with thin purplish wash, sparingly applied.
Notes:   Initially in East Basement-Pottery, Block Center Ζ, moved to vitrines in fall 2016.
