Title:   Black Figure Neck Amphora Fragment

Description:   Fragment from outer part.
On broad rim with profiled edge, ducks right; parts of two birds preserved, with small incised rosette between; purple in spots on neck and breast, in band across wing, and for band below inner edge of rim. In profile, the rim bends back somewhat from bit of side preserved, and ends in a spreading edge which projects above and below a flat band decorated with angular running dog motif. Outside preserved, below this, glazed save reserved area at bottom, with part of a solid incised rosette, preserved.
Pinkish-buff clay, with large bits. Glaze brownish, greater part peeled from outside.
