Title:   Amphora Fragments with Glaze Decoration

Description:   Fragments from two large vases with decoration on neck in thin brownish-red glaze.
a) Mended from two pieces; lip and bit of shoulder covered with streaked glaze. Between, on neck, reserved, large irregular motif; double concentric circle, and start of zigzag. Lip curves in at top. Pinkish-buff clay, inside unglazed.
b) Mended from three pieces; lip a little shorter, heavier, and less incurving than on a). None of shoulder preserved. On neck, double concentric circle and pair of zigzags; at break, right, traces of start of handle. Clay pink to buff; unglazed inside.
