Description:   Restored in plaster. Fragments of body and rim with one handle missing. Similar to P 7149 in shape and decoration. Protocorinthian imitation, but coarse. Rays exaggerated and zone of fine lines narrowed.
Attic clay; dull black glaze, rather streaky inside.
ADDENDA P 7149: Similar to P 7142 and P 7143 in shape (except with low flat base instead of ring foot) and in decoration; i.e., rays, fine bands, and vertical lines and zigzags in handle zone. A zone of narrow bands below the rays. Attic clay with firm red to black glaze. P 7142: Ring foot. Large rays around bottom; then fine bands to handle zone. In handle zone, vertical bands, interrupted at the middle on each side by short vertical zigzags.
Context:   Protoattic pit and well.
