Title:   Vessel Fragments

Description:   Part of a large closed pot: four non-joining fragments.
a) Part of a horse, right: chest and front legs.
b) Horse's hindquarters. Additional joining fragments give part of the ornament above the animal frieze: a double zigzag band with three lines above and three below; then a panel formed by a vertical maeander, hatched, between hatched verticals, all set off by groups of vertical lines.
c + d) Four vertical zigzags with a trace of a handle attachment and a wall fragment with two lines of glaze and four zigzags. A new piece joining these two gives part of the lower handle attachment; vertical bands on the handle.
e) Small fragment with three (or four) horizontal bands and a zone of vertical zigzags.
Filling ornament of irregular curved lines; groups of zigzags, diamond, and bird. Pinkish buff clay.
