Description: | From the wall of a large but thin-walled vase; made up of four fragments. The lower part of a garment, ornamented with white rosettes, a row of white dots, and purple bands. Incised lines indicate folds, and emphasize the ornament. Attic clay; interior rough and unglazed. Exterior, where the garment does not appear, shows a fine smooth surface covered with a thin slip or dilute glaze shading, in uneven stripes, from orange to reddish brown. | |
