Title:   Amphora: West Slope

Description:   Upper part of neck, one handle, and fragments from wall missing. Restored in plaster. Twisted handles with masks at the lower attachments. On the neck, jewelled festoon; leaf above; on the shoulder alternating diminishing squares and checkerboards. Scraped groove at base of neck, at base of shoulder decoration and around foot.
Firm black glaze. Decoration in added clay color and white; red dots below the tips of the necklace.
Context:   Cistern system 3, east chamber, strosis 3, dark earth.
