Title:   Black Glaze Cup

Description:   Mended from several pieces; about two-thirds of the rim missing. Restored in plaster. Flat bottom; outcurving lip; low-swung vertical handle.
Handle cross-striped; reserved line around lip.
Painted inside and out; bottom not painted.
High example of a type common throughout the Geometric period. One found in a grave in the Agora with vases of a simple style (cf. ArchEph (1898), p. 58, fig. 4. ArchDelt 2 (1916), p. 43, nos. 10-11, fig. 45. AM 28 (1903), p. 116, Beilage XII, no. 3; cf. figs. 24-25).
