Title:   Red Figure Epinetron Fragment

Description:   Fragment from lower end only, much worn. Upper part of female head to left, wearing an elaborate headdress, with a tiara with a running spiral decoration. Panel bordered by a maeander band. Above this is preserved a bit of the border of the upper panel; an egg pattern, partly incised and filled with red bordered by an egg pattern in black.
Buff clay; traces of reddening for face, tiara, etc.; black glaze much worn.
