Description: | Medusa medallion, leaf calyx. Part of medallion and lower wall preserved. Medallion: A gorgoneion enclosed by a scraped groove and row of beading. Calyx: covered by two rows of tall fronds springing from the medallion and tipped by plain triangles. On the wall side, above a small ribbed leaf. Clay: Pinkish, buff. Glaze: Firm black glaze, somewhat worn outside and in. | |
