Title:   Portrait Bust of Male Figure

Description:   Complete except for chipped nose, and base.
Draped bust, wearing tunic and cloak. An elderly man; the bald head has a close-clipped fringe of hair; the features are heavily lined.
Point of juncture with tongue for base 0.16m. side.
The highly crystalline marble has a grayish cast. It had been brought to a high finish on the flesh surface, in contrast with the matte finish of the hair and the drapery.
Island marble.
Drilled for setting, two holes in lower edge of bust, June 1958.
