Description: | Lower part of small Greek grave stele. Broken at top and bottom; the two sides are preserved; rough-picked on the back. The upper part of the fragment contains the lower half of a very low relief, showing a woman facing left, with her hand resting on the shoulder of a child who is facing front. She wears a himation below which a bit of the chiton falls about the ankles; her feet are resting on a footstool and she is seated on a chair with out-curving legs. Pentelic marble. | |
