Title:   Leg Fragment of Draped Figure

Description:   Broken all around, but bottom edge of a few folds preserved.
Draped shin to mid-calf; heavy folds. The fabric is gathered toward the center in heavier folds. The figure is about one-third life-size and might be part of deep relief rather than in the round. In this connection note the flange jutting out from the side of the thigh.
From grave relief of Isis.
Pentelic marble.
ADDENDA Initially interpreted as part of a thigh, and the marble as perhaps Parian.
