Title:   Head of Female Figure

Description:   Surface abraded and encrusted with mortar on right side of head. Broken at neck; nose, hair on right temple, and hair at back of head on left broken off.
Face characterized by deep-set eyes and prominent brow ridge. Head tilts to right. Hairstyle consists of a row of ringlets across the forehead under a smooth mass of hair bound into a roll on the back of the neck and articulated with braids incised on the surface.
Medium to fine grained white marble.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Rubble buttress in N.E. corner of chapel, west room. Bucket 149.
