Title:   Portrait Head of Male Figure
Category:   Sculpture
Description:   The nose and chin have been considerably damaged. At the base of the neck, a roughly picked tongue indicates that the head was inserted into a separate body.
Head, larger than life-size, perhaps of Trajan or a priest. The man has a tremendously long neck and is without beard. His hair is short and tied down by a wreath held by a bow at the neck. A deep horizontal groove across his forehead. The head was probably never finished, as at least two points have been left, one on the forehead and one below the chin.
White Pentelic marble of poor quality.
Context:   From water deposit (water mill, not destruction fill), just above strosis.
