Title:   Head of Female Figure with Backing Block

Description:   A part of the back is broken away; the nose chipped; two cuttings for hook-clamps in top of block. The sides of the block finished smooth near the front; rough-picked further back. At the bottom the neck projects below the rough-picked edge of the block. It is complete; rough-picked for setting.
Pentelic marble.
From the same series as S 554 (Ν 264), S 558 (Ο 590), S 597 (Ν'80), S 1213 (ΩΔ 218), S 1391 (ΣΑ 327).
Context:   Found with S 553 (Ν 263) in Burnt layer (debris) over the Burnt Building.
