Title:   Draped Female Figure Fragment

Description:   Missing: the head, the right hand and lower arms, the legs from above the knees, and all of the left side. Preserved surface somewhat eaten away, especially at the front.
Standing female figure, probably from a relief, about half life-size. She wears a Doric chiton, with overfold and apoptygma, and over it at the back a cloak of which one end falls over her right shoulder. The right arm is bent at the elbow, and extended as if to hold something. Flesh surface at neck carefully polished. Drapery carefully and elaborately rendered.
Altar of Ares series.
Pentelic marble.
Context:   Late Roman road fill, probably from Turkish wall nearby.
