Description:   Female head with very high headdress rendered in gouged style; the eyes pierced, and the headdress at the top, as if for suspension.
Mended from several pieces; lower part of face; upper part of headdress at back, and small chips missing. Finished edge at bottom.
Small traces of red glaze, on upper part of hair-do.
Red to buff clay.

Context:   Building C, Room 4; burned fill under stamnos wall. Herulian destruction debris over a Roman house to the west of the Areopagus.
