Title:   Statuette of Aphrodite
Category:   Terracotta
Description:   Broken and repaired; missing the right hand, the front part of the body from waist to thigh, with a small piece of drapery.
The right hand was raised to the hair. On one end of the drapery was wrapped round the lower left arm, and the cloak is drawn round the legs at the back. The other end is held in front of the body by the left hand.
The hair drawn into a heavy roll round the face is knotted at the back. From this knot five crude curls hang to the shoulders; one large lock is drawn forward to rest on the left shoulder. Hair roughly retouched. Bottom of drapery open.
Traces of white slip.
Coarse red clay.
