Description: | Mended from three pieces. Upper part and most of one side missing. Roughly rectangular mold for front part of figured group; parts preserved represent heavily draped female figure, standing with legs crossed, right arm on hip, along one side; figure stands on raised rectangular base; to her left, on base have altar (?) in form of Ionic capital; outside of mold has been roughly smoothed with fingers. Good quality buff clay. ADDENDA RVN: Probably figure leaning on column as armed Aphrodite from kerameikos. From the same mold as T 1285. Woman or goddess (resting dancer?). | |
