Title:   Lion Figurine

Description:   Lion crouching right, raised on a base.
One large fragment and four small ones preserved; broken away on top, and in front; the entire back has gone except for the haunches. About half the base is left.
The lion crouches to right with his head resting on his forepaws. His tail is curled around to the right. The eye of the lion is punched deeply. The base is divided horizontally by three raised bands.
Mould-made. Red glaze.
Reddish buff clay.
Possibly from a lamp, with L 855.
Context:   Trench I (18-22/ΛΑ-ΜΣΤ), in the burned area.
