Title:   Female with Child Figurine
ΤΙΤΛΟΣ:   Πήλινο ειδώλιο γυναίκας που θηλάζει βρέφος 4ος αι. μ.Χ.
Category:   Terracotta
Description:   The head missing, and most of the feet. The edges finished.
The woman, seated, clothed in a long garment, holds a suckling child on her left arm, and holds her breast with her right hand.
Mould-made; open behind. Traces of red paint on the child 's body and the woman 's drapery between the knees. Traces of yellow on the child's hair.
Light red clay.
Restored with T 519.
Late Roman.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Ρωμαϊκή, πήλινη γυναικεία μορφή, θηλάζουσα βρέφος. Λείπουν το κεφάλι και το μεγαλύτερο τμήμα από τα πόδια της μορφής. Διακρίνονται ίχνη ερυθρού χρώματος.
Context:   Found with late Roman sherds and coins nos. 1, 2 for the day.
