Head of Dionysos turned to viewer's right. Fillet across forehead, with two small spheres (fruit?) flanked by two larger ones above it. Thick, curly, ropelike hair visible above and to right of face. Leaves(?) and broad fillet to right of face. Lustrous black glaze.; ; Similar, but smaller, is 1703, from a pitcher, probably imported. For head with heavy locks and garland, cf.
