Title:   Well Curb Fragment

Description:   About two thirds of circumference preserved with parts of all elements restored in plaster.
Spreading profile. Heavy moldings: ovolo surmounted by cavetto, around bottom. Lighter moldings: on top ovolo (?) above; below, a molding not preserved (probably a cavetto on the analogy of P 4072) bordered above and below by a set of two moldings, each formed by two thin rolls of clay. Very friable pinkish buff clay with grits, unpainted. Vertical hole through edge of top.
ADDENDA Nearly complete base of a similar curb in ΝΝ Tin 402, from cistern 69/ΜΖ (3rd c. B.C.).
