Title:   Sima Tile
Category:   Architecture Terracotta
Description:   Full width and height preserved, broken off toward the rear.
Large eaves tile turned up at the end to form a sima. Deep channel for water behind face. At right edge behind channel the tile has a thickened ridge to receive and hold a cover tile. Both ends treated with anathyrosis. No trace of painted decoration visible on the face of the sima.
Coarse light brown clay with large inclusions. Surfaces treated with a fine smoothed yellowish-buff clay.
