Fragment of floor and wall.
Heavy flat-bottomed basin; groove around wall at its lower edge. The floor carefully pierced before glazing with at least three rings of neat cylindrical holes, ca. 9 mm. in diameter. The holes do not go through the floor; in each case the space was covered with a pellet of clay which closed it on the underside. Heavy fabric, hard and gritty, the bottom coated with sand; brown streaky glaze wash, inside only.
