Cup Or Jug.
Fragment of upper body.
Groove at base of narrow, wheelmade shoulder. Moldmade body: lotus corolla, with tips of two pointed lotus petals preserved, one with jeweled central vein; small, imbricate lotus petals between them.
Micaceous, reddish yellow fabric (7.5YR 6/6) with white inclusions; shiny brown-to-black glaze outside, red inside.
The lack of a rim pattern suggests the piece is not Attic, though two similar pieces have also been found at the Agora (1787 and P 20450). Possibly of the same shape: Délos XXXI, no. 3502, p. 461, pls. 106, 134.
