Fragment, glazed on underside. Max. dim. 0.105.
Youth (head, left shoulder and arm, most of feet missing) seated in three-quarter view to left on a cloak, his right hand resting on his thigh. The position of his shoulders and lock of hair suggests that he looked to right. In front of him is a woman (a bit of hair, left hand) holding a large alabastron and a sash. Behind him, on the ground is a spiral plant and at the far right, an object that may be a staff held in the youth's left hand. Preliminary sketch.
Perhaps by the same hand as the unattributed lekanis in Brussels, A 1014 (CVA, Bruxelles 1 [Belgique 1], pl. 4 [40]:3:c), the figure of Dionysos.
