Four non-joining fragments, a and b of top side and side, c and d of top side. Thin brownish glaze on inside. Surface slightly abraded on reserved areas. Reserved band just below shoulder. Est. diam. 0.09; max. dim. a) 0.093, b) 0.064, c) 0.047, d) 0.032. R. S. Young, Hesperia 20, 1951, pl. 80:5 (fragments a, b).

On top side, bull charging to left; satyr crawling to right. Fragment a (illustrated) preserves the foreparts, hind hoofs, a bit of the hindquarters, and tail of the bull; fragment d gives more of its shoulder and the start of its back. Fragment c (illustrated) shows the back of the satyr's head, his body, and tail. Fragment b (illustrated) preserves both feet and one hand. Reserved line for ground.

The composition may have been similar to the one on Ferrara inv. 20411 = T.18 C (Massei, Gli askoi . . . Spina, p. 208, cat. no. 130, pl. 46:3); also, Oxford 330 (CVA, 1 [Great Britain 3], pl. 45 [137]:6). On these two, however, the bull is not charging.

By the same hand as 1156.
