Wall fragment. Max. dim. 0.054. Burn, Meidias Painter, p. 118, cat. no. MM 153.

Woman (upper part of body, right arm) to right, wearing a chiton and himation, also a necklace and bracelet. In front of her is the end of something with a ring attached to it, perhaps a thymiaterion held by someone else. Relief contour. Added clay(?), now flaked: jewelry.

For the identification of the object as a thymiaterion, see the one held by Eros on Florence 81947 by the Meidias Painter himself (ARV2 1312, 2; Paralip. 477, 2; Addenda 361; Burn, Meidias Painter, p. 97, cat. no. M 2, pl. 29:a) and those flanking the statue on Oxford 1966.714 in the painter's manner (ARV2 1325, 51; Paralip. 478, 51; Addenda 364; Burn, p. 111, cat. no. MM 80, pl. 13:d).

Manner of the Meidias Painter (ARV2 one 841, 94); xii: Sundry (ARV2 1329, 101).
