Wall fragment. Max. dim. 0.042.

Eros (head, body from the waist up, bows of wings missing) flying to right toward a woman (a bit of hair, right side of body with decorated garment) who probably stands to right. Below Eros's feet, back of filleted head of woman to left. Relief contour: shoulder; nape. White: flesh of Eros. Dilute glaze: drawing on white; part of woman's garment; area between locks of hair. Added clay: fillet; feathers.

Probably the manner of the Meidias Painter. Cf. Louvre MNB 1320 (ARV2 1326, 69; Addenda 364; Burn, Meidias Painter, p. 114, cat. no. MM 109, pl. 14:c--e) and Oxford G 302 = 551 (ARV2 1328, 98; Paralip. 479, 98; Addenda 364; Burn, p. 100, cat. no. M 29, pls. 49, 50), which Beazley put "close to the painter himself" (ARV2 1328, 98). If 1662 is from an acorn lekythos, as suggested above (p. 76), this might strengthen the attribution, since the largest number of attributed examples come from the Meidias Painter's workshop.
